The ICP Vegetation annual meeting will be held from 17th to 19th February 2026 in Rome. It is organised by UKCEH, with local support kindly provided by Alessandra De Marco and Cristina Leonardi. We aim to have two full days of talks on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th February, a field visit with discussion sessions on Thursday 19th February.
Presentations are welcome on all topics related to air pollution impacts. The following topics are likely to be presented and discussed:
Ozone (and nitrogen):
- Application and new developments of flux-based methodology and critical levels of ozone for crops, forest trees and (semi-)natural vegetation;
- Updates required to Scientific Background Document B for Chapter 3 of the Modelling and Mapping Manual;
- New developments in ozone and nitrogen impacts on vegetation
- Progress with revising critical levels for NOx
Moss survey:
- Results of the moss survey on heavy metals, nitrogen and POPs (at national and regional scale);
- New developments and applications of mosses as biomonitors of heavy metal, nitrogen, POPs and microplastics pollution;
- Scientific Background Document for the moss survey
Both sessions:
- Outreach activities in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA), Asia and other regions (e.g. Africa, South-America);
- Collaboration with other subsidiary bodies of the Convention, including other ICPs and EMEP Centres/Task Forces.
This is an in-person event, with attendance limited to 100 people. Allocation will be on a first-come first-served basis, with a waiting list if capacity is exceeded.
