Radiological Environmental Protection
Online course 5-21 June 2024
This blended learning online course covers several aspects of environmental (non-human biota) radiological assessment, including the ERICA tool, radionuclide transfer, dosimetry, effects, benchmarks, dispersion and how to model atmospheric noble gases.
The course is a combination of self-guided online learning (available from 22 May 2024 on UKCEH LEarnworlds) and live interactive sessions:
- Wednesday 5 June 10:00 to 12:00 - Introduction to the course and lecturers
- Friday 7 June 10:00 to 12:00 - Quiz answers, Q&A, Tier 1 practical
- Friday 14 June 10:00 to 13:00 - Q&A, Transfer & dosimetry practicals, demo noble gases, issues over the assessment of natural radionuclides
- Wednesday 19 June 10:00 to 12:00 - Q&A, Benchmark practical, ICP TG99/105/124 activities
- Friday 21 June 10:00 to 12:00 - Q&A, Practicals on decision making: dispersion, new CR, temporal, multi-site, water vs sediment
- Friday 21 June 13:00 - 15:00 - final Q&A
